Command Solutions – Incident Management Software for Fire Brigades

IAMTech partnered with Command Solutions to deliver a bespoke incident management system for UK Fire & Rescue Services. Designed to modernise the coordination of multi-agency emergency responses, the software focuses on real-time operational visibility, audit compliance, and seamless collaboration during high-pressure events.

The Brief

UK fire brigades were reliant on outdated systems — a mix of unsupported software, whiteboards, and radio communications — to manage complex incident responses. When the existing solution was withdrawn from the market, Command Solutions engaged IAMTech to build a modern alternative.

The new system needed to support real-time decision-making across incident command levels (on-site, in control rooms, and in mobile units), while meeting stringent audit and data retention requirements.

The Solution

IAMTech developed a resilient, cross-platform application from the ground up using modern frameworks, ensuring compatibility with both legacy and current IT environments. Key features include offline access with automatic resynchronisation, real-time collaboration across multiple devices, and comprehensive audit trails to support inquiries and investigations. The full software lifecycle was delivered in-house, from requirements gathering through to design, agile development, UAT, and phased rollout. Initially deployed with Cleveland Fire Brigade, the solution has since been adopted by multiple UK brigades, significantly improving command coordination and post-incident analysis.
